Our Texas State Liaison, Tammy Davis, connected Moms for America with the Republican Club of Washington County in Texas where our Founder and President, Kimberly Fletcher, was invited as a guest speaker. Tammy set up a table with Mom for America information for the attendees of this event. We love our State Liaisons!

On February 20-23, 2023, Texas Governor Greg Abbott had a Parent Empowerment Rally in Temple, Texas. State Liaison, Teresa Thomas (Texas Moms for America) and grandson Hayden, went to show their support for the Governor’s parental rights initiative. Teresa Thomas was there spreading the word about Moms for America and wearing the brand. This was one out of many events that Teresa attended with Governor Greg Abbott’s team to show the affiliation between them and Moms for America.

On March 21, 2023, Teresa Thomas (Texas Moms for America) and Evan Archer attended the Parent Empowerment Rally in Austin, Texas and then the Senator Creighton’s office. It was inspirational to have these three young men, 13-15 years old participate in the legislative process to defend parental rights and speak out for child protection policies. They were also able to observe the State Republican Executive Committee (SREC), Tom Nobis, and how he performs his elected duties.
Evan and Teresa then drove to Cypress, Texas for the second Governor’s Rally for Parent Empowerment, for a great end of the day. Teresa Thomas has attended several of Governor’s rallies because she has been asked by his team equate to be a representation of Moms for America. In the words of the Governor, “It is a good brand.” Theresa was there with a Moms for America shirt on and participating and supporting in the events.

On April 11, 2023, Moms from around the state of Texas joined together to testify on parental rights and educational freedom. Teresa Thomas and Judi DeHann (Texas Moms for America / Northwest Harris County Moms for America) were some of the moms that gave their testimonies to the House Education Committee. In addition, the Moms for America team gathered during a break and then enjoyed lunch with the Governor while stating, “Moms making a difference in their house and in the people’s house!”

On April 20, 2023, Teresa Thomas and Judi DeHann (Texas Moms for America/ Northwest Harris County Moms for America) in Moms for America gear went to show that Moms for America supported the “Chaplains Bill”. Teresa and Judi also participated in a questionnaire with Mr. and Mrs. Rocky Malloy (National School Chaplain Association) in Austin, Texas. Mr. Rocky Malloy was a big contributor to the legislation and they asked questions to better understand the areas of concern. By doing this Teresa and Judi wanted to show that research and validating points in the bill was more indicative of Moms working for family values.

On September 22, 2023, Texans celebrated and shared their love of Friday Night Lights with the first Parents Matter Tailgate at First Baptist Academy (FBA) in Dallas, Texas, where Governor Abbott spoke. This event brought parents from FBA and Mercy Prep and others from around the state fired up for parent empowerment. Teresa Thomas and Judi Dehann (NW Harris County Moms for America) were there to represent Moms for America. America First Policy (AFP) and Texas Home School Coalition all showed up to encourage and educate parents.

Teresa Thomas and Judi Dehann (Northwest Harris County Moms for America) attended the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) Convention in Oklahoma from September 28, 2023, to October 1, 2023. Teresa and Judi met lots of people, including mothers from California, Gordon Change, Kristi Antonick (Marian’s for Prosperity Board), Rhonda (Republican legislative priorities committee), and Kelly (speaker at the Border Rally for Texas). Teresa and Judi also celebrated with Texas Republican Women’s President, Kit Whitehall, who received the prestigious Ronal Reagan Award at the NFRW Convention.

On October 13-14, 2023, one of Texas Grassroots Coordinators, Teresa Thomas (Northwest Harris County Moms for America) attended the Texas Federation of Republican Women. There she listened to speeches and mingled with a lot of important individuals within the Texas government. Teresa was unable to set up a table at this event but used her socialization skills to talk and spread the word about Moms for America.

Texas State Director, Teresa Thomas and Hope Barrela and Virginia (San Antonio Moms for America) in Moms for America attire joined Dr. Alveda King, Bishop Wellington Boone, Alan Parker (Justice Foundation and Turning Point USA Faith) on January 13, 2024, for the Martin Luther King Freedom Walk sponsored by Bishop Charles Flowers. During the walk we heard the pastors and Alan Parker speak about the life and mission of Martin Luther King culminating with Dr. King’s speech about his legacy. At the completion of the walk participants were lead in praise and worship.

On January 20, 2024, Teresa Thomas (Texas Moms for America Action State Director) joined over 900 fighters for faith, family and freedom in Amarillo, Texas. Patriots from across the Panhandle of Texas assembled to hear Eric Trump, Congressman Ronnie Jackson, State Representative John Smithee and Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick speak. Moms for America donated items for their fundraiser and passed out flyers sharing the mission of Moms for America. They were blessed by the welcoming hearts of the Panhandle patriots.

On March 9, 2024, Teresa Thomas (Texas Moms for America Action State Director) had the opportunity to speak at the Precinct convention and share the mission and purpose of Moms for America and the importance of families and the mom vote. Teresa Thomas, Judi DeHann (Northwest Harris County Moms for America) and Elsa Schneider also were honored to serve on their senate district legislative priorities and platform committees. They are mommas fighting on the wall to protect their faith, family and freedom.

Texas Moms for America Action State Director, Teresa Thomas, was contacted by Senator Ted Cruz’s Team and was given a special invitation to attend an impromptu meet and greet on April 2, 2024. The Texas Moms for America Action team went into action and sent out invitations to our network and members, these included young patriots in the area, the Civil Air Patrol and Delta Composite Squadron. Over 20 young men and women ages 13-18 who are part of the US Air Force Axillary organization were also in attendance. At the event all the young adults were able to be an active participant in their local government. Senator Cruz also shared his father’s harrowing journey to the United States and his communist persecution including a beating that occurred during the age of the cadets. Senator Ted Cruz encouraged our youth to stand for the constitution and the principles of our founding fathers. Texas Moms for America Action was there in their shirts and some Moms for America to show their support of this event.

On April 6, 2024, Teresa Thomas (Texas Moms for America) set up a Moms for America’s table and attended the Bastrop County Rhinestone Gala. Founder of Moms for America, Kimberly Fletcher was also in attendance with other American patriots. Many Texas candidates and organizations came together for this gala and shared in the wonderful comradery and commitment to working for Faith, Family and Country. Over 40 cakes were auctioned and all enjoyed dessert and good conversation.

On April 13, 2024, Teresa Thomas (Texas Moms for America), Martha Fierro (Central Harris County Moms for America) and Tressie Roark (Washington County Moms for America) attended and participated in the “Don’t Mess with our Kids” event in Austin Texas. They set up a Moms for America table on the capital grounds and spread the mission of Moms for America.

On April 26, 2024, Teresa Thomas (Texas Moms for America) was invited to the Annual Harris County Lincoln Reagan Dinner as a guest of Representative Tom Oliverson. Senator Tim Scott and Senator Ted Cruz were the guest speakers and shared hope for the recovery and restoration of America. The event was a great reminder that we can uplift and encourage when government is not upholding the constitutional rights of its citizens. There were many opportunities to share the mission and accomplishments of Texas Moms for America with Texas legislators and many mommas in attendance.

On April 29, 2024, Texas Moms for America was invited to a meet and greet for Christian Collins (Founder of Texas Youth Summitt). Christian Collins spoke about his vision to reach America’s young adults educating them on Judeo-Christian conservative values and shared that last year set an attendance record. The evening highlighted the importance of what influence and impact the youth will have on keeping America free. The teenagers present were mentored and uplifted that they can make a difference and their age is not a barrier. Teresa Thomas had the privilege to share Moms for America’s mission with their Texas Youth Summitt coalition partner.

On April 29, 2024, Teresa Thomas (Texas Moms for America) attended the Texas Governor’s Prayer Breakfast. Teresa enjoyed the uplifting message of hope and the power of prayer from Abby Johnson. Abby also shared her heartfelt desire to expose the abortion industry, she let us all know what we could do by partnering with God and working hand in hand.

On May 10, 2024, Teresa Thomas (Texas Moms for America) and Judi DeHaan (Northwest Harris County Moms for America) set up a Moms for America table at the Restore Our Republic Event in Round Rock, Texas. There they shared information with attendees on the Moms for America mission of supporting families in making decisions for their children. They also had several dads stop and gather information about the 5000 Year Leap webinar.
