On January 24, 2024, Group Leader Erin Welch of the Muskingum County Moms for America held their first initial meeting at Bryan’s place in Zansville, Ohio. They held discussions about membership, the organization and what members would like to see for our local group. Suggestions such as how human trafficking affects our county and possibly having a “candidates’ meet and greet night,” where candidates come to them, introduce themselves and they could ask questions and get to know the candidates. Erin Welch also created a Facebook page where meeting times and information will be posted. Other things that were discussed were networking opportunities like the Maralago event and upcoming Dallas event. At the end, information regarding online material was provided to get everyone signed up online and a welcome video was watched describing the importance and goals of the organization.
On February 7, 2024, Group Leader, Erin Welch and her Muskingum County Moms for America group held their second meeting. At this meeting, they had Ron Welch (Muskingum County Prosecutor) and Janet Long from the organization called, “Forever Dads”. These speakers talked about human trafficking.
